So Far, So Good!

I've had my Approach R50 for about a month, and I have been using it nearly every day. The ease of use is remarkable - one afternoon I found my 12 year old son was in there hitting balls and had no problem getting it up and running by himself. I also absolutely love the HomeTown Hero feature. I've been playing not only local courses, but Pebble Beach, Augusta, and St. Andrews. I was a little surprised that club distances didn't seem to match what I *thought* I typically hit my clubs, but after reading about 'Indoor Swing Syndrome', and using it more, I feel like the accuracy is pretty good. Another really cool feature is the automatic synching of the Garmin Golf app to the session data. So far, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I plan to connect to the E6 Apex software at some point in the future, but for now, HTH has been a lot of fun.

Amazing!

I bought the Garmin r50 for my garage home simulator and the thing works amazing. No need for internet connection. No need for a PC to run. You can turn it on and be playing on a golf course within 3 minutes. Well worth the money

R50 Carry Yards

Had R50 for a couple weeks, getting adjusted by using practice range, one major issue I've noticed is the carry yards is not even close to the ball speed or, club speed numbers.
Ex: I know I actually carry 7 iron around 140 yrds on real golf course and the R50 shows Yrds Carry of approx 70 yrds. This will be a problem when I start playing virtual golf courses.

Tested the R50 with my head pro for chipping. He was impressed and it was very accurate! I took it to the range and worked through my bag. Distances and shot shape were again very accurate. Easy to operate and having an onboard display is a game changer!

I purchased this just a little bit ago for the golf shed. Has everything you will need to get up and going, and works great with the projector against the screen. Found a great feature for our area when I signed up for the yearly subscription. They have most of the local courses in our area to work on. Great feature.
