Stopped working consistently, get locked out now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this lock for a while, and it worked well for a while. Then it started not locking, resetting randomly, just turning off, etc etc…it just can’t do what its intended purpose is…lock and unlock when we need/want it to. Not reliable enough to trust that you will be able to get back in with just a code after you or your kids leave the house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice features and easy install!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed this at a family member’s house where we needed some access control that isn’t possible with a mechanical lock. The physical install was fast and easy. The only issue was that I “bricked” one of the units while updating the firmware. Be patient- it takes some time. The features and app are a perfect fit. The only improvements needed are: (a) ability to determine if door is actually closed, and (b) more finish options. Can’t wait for Encode + version to come out.

Love the app and the notifications and flexibility to easily create new users and access codes. Great instructional stuff with quick start guide and app. Well done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have other encode deadbolt locks on my home and one of my rental properties. I am happy that they came out with the lever model. This model was finally approved with my HOA. Very happy with all 3 of my Schlage Encode locks.
