[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing the physical lock was straight forward. Getting the Schlage software to configure the phone got hung up when it was looking for wifi. Finally solved by connecting the lock manually by finding it on my Bluetooth devices found on my phone... then relaunched the software, removing the lock and reinstalling again. This time it worked flawlessly. Chose this lock for direct connect to Airbnb platform.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was straight forward. There a few issues with the product and information included with it. I still don't know if this is the Encode or Encode+ as the materials packaged with it are unclear. The instructions online describe the method for pairing the lock with the app, it shows a button that is not able to be pushed. So, no connectivity. Because of the standard holes in the door the battery caddy is not removeable without also taking out my older Schlage deadbolt. Leading to alot of frustration. Which is guarenteed to be repeated every time I need to change batteries. Manual programming was fairly simple. The electronics enclosure is not perfectly flush with the surface of the door with about 1/2 mm open space on the inside upper right corner. Overall, I'm not as pleased with this product as I expected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Proud owner of 5 smart locks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I now own 5 Schlage smart locks. And absolutely love just about everything about them. However, I did have to purchase rainguards for some. Due to them getting water inside and causing them to malfunction. Since adding the new guards. Have not had any issues since.

No More Fumbling in the Dark for the Correct Key

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good bye 90s, hello modern times complete with WiFi. Easy to swap out and connect to the app to do wonderful things. If you carry groceries in you can unlock before you get all your hands filled up. No more putting stuff down to find your key. No more locked out because you forgot your key. Checking in to insure all your doors are locked from anywhere is a plus, too. Schlage is number 1!

encode lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we had our first encode lock for about 5 years. the keypad stopped working this winter. I replaced the lock with the same one and love it. we also have the same lock on my wife's business. great product, just hoping it lasts longer than the first

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product I rent out my rooms in my house and all theses lock’s installed battery life is so amazing it goes almost 6 months without replacing the batteries u can create your own code and if someone tries to bang on it or force entry you will immediately get an alert if u have the app in your phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the ease of use. This is a single action door lever which satisfies our needs and that of the Fire Marshall. The big lock/unlock buttons on the inside let you quickly operate. Would buy this again for our small home business.
