We loved it right out of the box. Affordable, small, easy to store and super easy to use. We tried potato/cheese waffles and it was a hit!! Highly recommended.

nice mini waffle maker

I think it's pretty cool.. yes it does get hot.I find it takes 4 to 5 minutes for doneness, twice as long as it on a regular sized waffle maker. Yes, you do need to Pam spray both surfaces before adding your item to be cooked... so easy to forget that step. However, I recently had an egg/potato/cheese mixture that as it was cooking a lot of liquid came out and ran down inside the bottom unit. No info that this is a bad thing.. no flying sparks but, I'm sure I have a icky mess under the bottom element.

Works well. I had to add a little time to get the waffle cooked to my preference. But I'm please with the product.
