I found that the top lid does not stay open to take waffle out, keep burning my fingers. Am I the only one having this problem?

So far this little thing hasn't let us down. Easy to use out of the package. Directions are easy to follow. Kids use it all the time. The mini size is perfect for a kitchen with little to no space. We have lots of mini products in a bin and we just pull them out as needed.
