One side heat

It was really good for a couple times and then it stopped cooking on the top. The waffles were really good. I wouldn’t remember recommend this item of you are going to use it a lot.

I found that the top lid does not stay open to take waffle out, keep burning my fingers. Am I the only one having this problem?
