When they work they are awesome, but…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased 11 of the Encodes this past year for 6 STRs. Installation is very simple and quick
But 2 have failed completely and had to be drilled out to unlock. The others kept loosing internet connection and had to be manually re-connected by doing a re-setting. The replacement Encodes did not have a problem with keeping connected to WiFi the same location.
Schlage warranty is complex. They have you jump through all sorts of loops but tell me to keep the lock. Then get reimbursed by a 3 third party vendor. When.the price increases for the lock, you eat the difference. No one has time for all that. They should just improve the quality or send a replacement . I have 4 Encodes that I still have to jump through the hoops to get reimbursed
The Schlage encodes interfaces with the AirBnB platform. It issues a unique door code for each reservation. Which is awesome. But if the lock doesn’t work when the guest arrives it creats an unhappy guest snd and a less than stellar review.
