[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took me 5 minutes to install and directions were clear. Was expecting some cheap metal, but it was actually very durable and heavy. So far, very pleased
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn’t be able to install by myself so my daughter and I were doing it together. The drawing on the installation paper should be bigger and more detailed. As a standalone front-door lock: 6/10 As the lower lock under a real deadbolt: 8.5/10 For convenience/ease of daily use: 9/10 For long-term security by itself: not enough on its own for me It’s one of the better “simple keypad” designs. This is a big plus - it’s not trying to be a fancy smart lock. No WiFi, no app, no cloud account, no notifications. That means less complexity and fewer things to go wrong compared with the smart lock that I just replaced it with. This is my second Schlage lock (the first one I used in my other home). This lock uses physical silicone coated buttons, which I prefer over touchscreens. I can have 19 user codes, it has backlit keypad. Schlage has a pretty good reputation for a residential keypad lever. It’s old-school, not flashy, but dependable. It’s fairly resilient / more reliable than the smart ones.
I never had any issues with my first Schlage lock that is why I bought the same again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought one of those box store brands and a year and a 1/2 later had to replace it. So this time, I'm buying a more durable lock that is made for the long haul.
