Odd design for keyed entry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would be nice if you did NOT have to insert key, turn 45, push in and turn further to open. Also extracting key after all this is NOT trivial.
I got this because batteries die and I wanted to be able to use my key easily. Had to go to schlage trblshooting page to learn all this since it was not in the included instructions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
