I recently picked up the MXTA 6db antenna for my overland rig. My goal was to get more distance while leading trail rides in the forest. This upgrade has made a big difference in my ability to reach the last rig in the lineup. I recommend this as an upgrade to your Midland mobile radio. I also like the spring in the base as it is very flexible in tight trails. I have broken many antennas over the years. But not this one, it is very forgiving in the brush.

There are many high gain antennas to choose form out there. The MXTA26 is among the best. First, out of the box/package it is ready to work with no adjustments needed. The over all design is just better built
