I bought this a few weeks ago along with the short stubby antenna. Ran a distance test on both. Same mileage away from home base. Even though my son could hear me the shorty antenna quickly lost his audio. The 6 db kick on this antenna works much better. Highly recommend it.

Purchased two of these. The are very good antennas. The older version did not have a spring base and I have broken two of them on tree limbs around field edges. These newer ones are spring based and alleviate that problem. A great improvement.
