I've only had this antenna on for a few weeks so I haven't had a chance to really put it through it's paces yet but I like the look. I have it mounted on the A-Pillar of my Jeep using the MXTARRJK Antenna Mount.

Upgraded to the MXTA26 6db antenna from the small, included antenna that came with my MXT275 and was very impressed with the improvements in the performance of the radio. Reception is now from as far away as 60 miles across a mountain range and transmission that markedly improved though have not tested that to the fullest yet - but am able to hear (barely, a 2.5 watt handheld) and be clearly heard at our post office 6 miles away over a mountain ridge - impressive! This is a must have upgrade for any kind of serious use of the radio system to get any real range; don't skimp on this piece.

The antenna provided me a flexible, serviceable, and priced right option for my Jeeps GMRS radio needs. The antenna design allows it to flex as we are driving in the northeast woods without me worrying if it would break. I have found it provides a clear signal at a greater distance then my past setup on the Jeep. I was concerned the flex design would cause the paint to crack like may past antenna from another company but no sign of cracking. I recommend the product and will purchase another one for my second vehicle. Thank for making a great product!!
