I don’t know much about good versus bad but a friend of mine is a total geek about it and wanted to test the antenna.
He said quality-wise, it is great (measured to be basically a 1…which he said was the goal).
All I know personally is…it is easy to install (twist on) and works well for me.

Our group has this excellent antenna. Every new antenna we get for GMRS radio use we always test tit's SWR and this antenna is the only GMRS antenna that never needs tuning right from the factory! We almost use the Mag mount and put on the center of the roof and that's it!
You just can't go wrong with this antenna! We help a few Farmers set up their GMRS radios and this is one antenna we suggest almost all the time. Excellent for grain bin mounting! Farmers find GMRS radio to be a real time saver in the field and way better then a CB radio,

I use the MXTA26 antenna with the Mag mount with my MXT275. Super simple to set up if you are not used to setting up mobile two way radios. The MXTA26 GMRS antenna will give you maximum range for your radio and it comes pre tuned! My SWR meter confirmed this! Excellent value for your money. You just can't go wrong with this antenna. Just make sure that it is mounted as high as possible.
