Better than my Meater

I ended up getting my Meater too hot and fried the electronics so I got the Chef IQ (which has a higher temperature rating) and I've been unable to go back. It'll definitely do better than my Meater.

This probe is a game changer. I cooked a prime rib and my guests said it was restaurant quality. I use the probe whenever I cook. My food is always the perfect internal temperature and not overcooked and dry.

For the days that I plan dinners for large groups, this digital thermometer has changed by game plan. Now I no longer need to periodically go back to the over or grill to check on how well something is cooking. Thru the app, I can see the internal temps and know that things are on track or make adjustments as needed. This frees me up to focus on other dishes or to even simply relax and socialize!

When I first got it, I couldn't use it because I didn't know it had the plastic insert in the case I had to call the company once I figured it out. It was great

I've been wanting to try one of these wireless probes while preparing BBQ. I recently smoked up some pork shoulders for a friends party. I prepared the pork shoulders, inserted the Chef iQ probe, and placed in my heavy steel competition smoker. I kept the base unit relatively close to the smoker and had no connection or monitoring issues what so ever. I am very pleased with the operation of this temperature probe and will be using it for all my BBQ.

My wife gave me this as a gift because I’ve blown through so many sets of temp probes on my pellet smoker. I cook at least 5 days a week on my smoker. The iQ probe works perfectly and is much more sensitive/accurate than the temp probes that are built in to my smoker.
