This is the 4th summer with the 260 which I believe is the same as the 4000 now. Cools my 50x80 machine shed by a good 20*. I’ve had zero problems with it.
Bought this to keep two shop bays cool and turns out it works well enough to keep the ENTIRE SHOP cooled down. Will for sure be buying another when we expand the shop.
Having the option to turn the unit on from your device it Great! I have my unit set to come on thirty minutes before I come in for work and shut down thirty minutes before we leave for the day. I work in a warehouse and having that Apex 4000 really makes a difference in the climate. Plus, I am in the midsouth area, and it gets very hot and humid here.
A single APEX 4000 has cool our 3,000 sq ft warehouse very comfortably for two full summers; now starting our third. This machine works better than any of the others I've had in the past. It's been sound mechanically and the assembly has held up nicely. The Wi-Fi feature is very convenient and now is a must for me. I love being able to control the temperature, monitor water levels, start up, and turn off the fan from where ever I am in the building using my phone. The notifications have also saved same a time or two when I've been off campus and the machine needed attention. The digital interface and various modes to choose from is a major upgrade too. I always recommend Portacool machines, especially the APEX line.
These units are awesome. We put them through hell and they perform when they are needed most during hot summer months. Don't kid yourself buying any other brand.
One fix, bulk up your receivers for incoming water, they can break fairly easily.
