The Headphones came with an adapter for an iPhone with a lightning input. It works without the adapter with an iPhone with a usb c input, but not with the adapter. :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The noise-canceling is incredible and very intuitive to use. The microphone mutes and unmutes depending on if it's raised or lowered. Great audio quality overall, and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
