I have got this laptop for my husband for his late birthday . It’s super fast and a big screen is awesome!!!! He just loves it!!!!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
not Rose but her husband, she bought this for me for Christmas, it is my first new computer in over 10 years, I usually get hwer hand my downs, It was vey essay to get set up and get started
I highly recommend this laptop. I like the bigger screen. The laptop is so much faster than my previous HP. The only this I would change would be to add a backlit keyboard, but I can function without it.
The only thing that I don't like about the laptop is the color. There are flakes of white in the black that make me think it's dusty. That's it. It's been a great asset. I take it everywhere.
Enjoying new HP Laptop. Graphics are sharp and great color. Switch from screen to new is lighting quick. Boots up quickly. Not loving delete tab right next to power tab. Not loving the frequent whirling noise from fan or processor. Very distracting.
I've gotten a few of these 17" style HP laptops, and the hinge mechanism breaks after about 2.5 years of regular use. Great value for the money but this latest version also needlessly changes the keyboard layout just enough so old keyboard covers are not usable.
Works well. Fast. Easy setup. Not too much bloatware. Nice features and good value for the money. Only two options I wish it had was a lighted keyboard and a touch screen (not worth the extra money for that option).
A nice machine, with limitations that keep it from being a great machine!

Caveat: I purchased this system on behalf of a friend who wanted technical help with buying it. This is a nice machine, especially for the price of purchase. The problem is its lack of upgradability. This would be fine if you thought that your needs wouldn't ever change or that your system wouldn't become obsolete in two years, but for most of us it means buying more machine now than you actually need because the CPU, Memory, and data storage (SSD) are all soldered onto the MainBoard and cannot be changed. I try to never buy machines in this class, but they are cheap! I try to buy systems that I can double the memory on in two years, add storage when I need it and upgrade to Processor when I need a bit more juice, or want the system to last another year or two before I have to send it to the landfill. It makes the computer seem more like a toaster that you throw away when it starts taking too long to make your toast. Then you have too get used to an entirely new machine instead of enjoying the comfort of one that you know well. I know that this is a common lament about all things modern and our disposable society. That said, it is a good value if it meets your needs and will for the foreseeable future. For that reason, I CAN recommend this product, but not for everyone.
