AC does not work

I've tried to empty the water but just drops come out. If I set it to fan it will only run for between 2 minutes and 4 hours but I need it to be reliable and not get stuck only with 2 minutes of run time in 114 heat.
Can you tell me how to fix this so it can be a fan and an air conditioner? Can't get fan or a/c to work

We are letting it sit upright for 24hours, but upon opening the package this AC unit looks and feels like very good quality! Excited to see how well it cools our space.
