Leaking in my carpet

This AC is flooding my carpet. The flow hose is connected properly. A little goes in the bucket. The rest is going into my carpet. We put plastic under it but it's still leaking.

Has kept our down stairs nice and cool

So far the AC has done a great job at keeping the down stairs of our apartment nice and cool! It does occasionally shut off, but I believe it’s doing temp recognition once the room meets a certain temp.

So far enjoying cooler temps inside, minus it looks like something is blocking the air flow from a/c above the fan, below the lid and grill area, is this normal? I've never owned a a/c looking this way. We have it set up properly for it to work.
