Works fine, occasionally buggy, great camera

I'm not a fan of iPhones/Apple. I don't like the bloated, clingy crap piled on Samsung phones. I'm a fan of Motorola but they never updated the software. So I'm basically stuck with Google at this price point.
I love the lemongrass shell. It's really nice to look at but extremely slippery and not flat. Without a case, you either let it sit on the camera bump or it slides off most surfaces of the camera overhangs.
I switched from a $500 Motorola phone losing some neat features. I didn't gain much in performance, if anything. Android 13, until recently, required multiple taps to initiate a call from a text. You can't zoom into a screenshot of you use the edit button, you have to switch apps. Double tap to activate flashlight is sketchy at best. It took me a long time to figure out how to deactivate a feature that turns off the ringer when connected to Wi-Fi.
Two biggest issues are screen and notifications. Screen often becomes non responsive in various apps. The screen is not very sensitive, I increased sensitivity with a setting designed for screen protectors but wouldn't use a screen protector. Notifications jump in while I have the notifications pulled down and while I'm swiping them away, I often end up swiping away notifications that I haven't even seen because they pop in while I'm clearing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new Pixel 7. There is one thing that I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do, is setup all my apps again. I'm having to login to them, and is is a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, it's great. As I just got it, I'm still learing a lot about it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best phone ever

I have owned iPhones for the last 6 years and I honestly got sick of the lack of innovation I did a lot of review on the android phones and Google pixel being the smartest phone in the world definitely caught my attention so far I truly would say this is by a million miles better then the iPhone lineup it’s incredibly smooth and very easy to navigate I would highly recommend

Bummer: USBC wall-charger not included

Although I'm generally happy with the Pixel 7, I was disappointed that I needed to buy a separate USBC wall charger. Nope..it does not come with a Pixel 7.
Although someone in my household has a qt wireless charger lying around, I felt I had to buy a wall charger for this.
The lemongrass color is less than impressive.. too light in color. But that is minor, because I'm buying a case to cover it all up anyway.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A beta version of a phone, with poor battery life

The phone has an impressive display and camera for the price, and it's loaded with countless features, but the phone as a whole is unpolished. From the moment you setup your phone, you're confronted with a fingerscan feature that doesn't work and you have Google Assistant shoved in your face until you turn it off. A lot of design features are unintuitive and clumsy, and if you want to adjust something, the menu is buried in a menu under another menu under another.
And then there's the battery. The phone sits here doing nothing and the battery drains faster than any phone I've ever owned, and that's with Battery Saver enabled and countless features turned off. It might have an enormous battery, but that doesn't mean that is has a better battery life. I read an article about how Google is constantly retrieving data from your phone, significantly more than any other phone maker, and it makes me think that this might be connected to the poor battery life.
After buying the phone, I also discovered that the software support is very ungenerous. You'll get OS updates for less than 3 years and security updates for less than 5 years. It all seems like planned obsolescence.
So while the phone is significantly cheaper than other phones on the market, the price cut comes with a cost. From my experience over the last month, I can say that I wouldn't purchase a Pixel phone again unless significant changes are made. If you want a phone to use resource intensive apps with, definitely avoid this one, the apps will KO the battery.

Absolute rubbish. Extremally frustrating to work with.
Screen touch works when it pleases.
Cannot turn the phone off, despite following the two button hold procedure.
Music playback/ streaming is spotty. Loaded with spyware. I could go on and on.
If you don't want to end up throwing your brand new phone against the
wall don't buy this. I should know we have two of them.
