She took it to her sewing teacher and they love how it's so easy to create custom stitching on multiple fabrics! Easy to thread and the foot petal did all of the work! They have been playing with colors and different styles and each one is as flawless as the first! Highly recommended!! My daughter is 13 and has been sewing for several years. I don't have the talent that she does, but I love this machine for her!

love this cover stitch

Super simple to use & makes sewing with knits easy. Only "con" I can think of is this machine is sold with the wrong needles, you immediately need to switch the needles to stretch needles to prevent any skipping

Easy to use for simple beginner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 5 kids in the house and started using this to repurpose clothes theyve outgrown. We dont have much experience so we opted for a CV instead of a regular sewing machine. Im glad we did because this is so easy to use and can do a lot more than a regular sewing machine. We watched some YouTube videos to guide us and my wife has turned this into her favorite new hobby. She turned winter clothes into summer clothes, dresses into shorts, fitted my dress pants and she is now trying her hand at making fancy designs. This CV would pay for itself in no time simply by not buying new clothes.

Love this machine!

I love this coverstitch machine! It's not hard to learn to thread it, especially if you have some serger experience. It does take some practice and watching video tutorials on how to remove the fabric from the machine and tie off the ends properly. But once I got it, I got it! Now, not only are hems faster and easier, my knits look professionally made.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy To Use

I have my cover stitch machine sitting back to back with my serger and switch threads from the serger to the cover stitch machine when needed. The serger acts as my thread stand. An easy way to release the looper thread at the end of the stitching, is to open the front of the cover stitch machine and release the looper. Pull the looper thread up and through the needle plate, reset the looper, close the door and cut the top threads and then the looper thread after pulling the top threads to the back of the fabric. No knotting or seam sealer needed to lock the thread ends. Practice makes perfect.

My Sewing Room Is Complete!

I absolutely love my new coverstitch machine. It's a breeze to operate if you have serger experience and I imagine, even if you are not familiar with a serger. It's very easy to thread, adjustments are easy and the stitching is beautiful. I have five other Brother machines and would certainly recommend this one as a finish machine for anyone who is into sewing. I use my coverstitch exclusively for hemming knit creations and it is a strong professional finish.

Great machine

I received this as a retirement gift and am enjoying it immensely. The initial learning curve was pretty steep, but now I feel like an old pro at it. As they say, practice makes perfect. After spending time on YouTube looking at videos, there are other things I wish it would do but those are more expensive machines. This one runs well, isn't very loud and does what it's designed to do efficiently and quickly. Overall, I really like it a lot and plan to use it for many years.
