Cheap and short life span

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for less than five years and first the freezer stops working and then the refrigerator. Prior to that, the shelfs continuously fell out of the refrigerator. The icemaker shoots ice out. We did our entire kitchen in Bosch and will never again buy a Bosch product. This is the third of four products to fail us. The panel on the oven is melted. The oven! And the dishwasher requires that you replace the filter every 9 months or the dishes, which are entered essentially clean to begin with, come out cloudy and dirty looking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacing This Bosch with Another Manufacturer

This refrigerator in the house we just bought is two years old. Whoever designed it had never tried to store a gallon jug of milk on any of the shelves. Cannot adjust height of shelves; they are in fixed positions. The icemaker is a bad joke: It's either spitting out too much ice at rapid-fire speed or ... there's no ice in the bin. It's hard for me to believe that a company like Bosch has such a good reputation with products like this one.

Worst quality refrigerator I have ever had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator came in a new home we bought less than 3 years ago. Even before the malfunctions started, we were unhappy with the fact that you can store very little in this refrigerator. The fixed shelving makes it virtually impossible to get much in. It is also the loudest refrigerator I have owned. In the first 2 years we had to replace both the refrigerator and freezer motors. The previously mentioned problem of the ice getting stuck and building up happened to us as well. The last straw happened when the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling entirely while we were on vacation, leaving us a mess to come home to. We are replacing this with a different brand.

"Perfektion in every detail" captures it perfectly

This refrigerator was included as part of a new home purchase. Worst refrigerator I have ever had. Problems are detailed in other reviews and every one of them is valid. In addition to the incessant alarm, our favorite part of this refrigerator so far has been the ice maker. Cubes get caught in the dispenser behind the tray and it stops making ice. I have found cubes stuck in several different nooks and crannies that stop the ice from being produced. Also, the quantity of ice produced is a joke. Whenever we have guests over, there is never enough ice. Also, the water dispenser is so slow that you could go outdoors and pump your water from a well and it would still be faster. Small capacity, controls lock up with no explanation, and on and on and on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could do better for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a high-end fridge but even so there are a number of issues that should be corrected:
Add a clock to the display panel
Find/engineer a quieter motor for the ice maker, it is VERY noisy when operating, had it replaced thinking it was defective and the new one is just as bad so it seems to be a design fault.
Make the light over the door dispenser brighter, its amost useless.
Quality of the bins is rather poor, they are flimsy and dont slide well in the guides.
Doors are out of alightment and dont seem adjustable enough to correct.
On the other side: Fridge compressor/motor is very quiet
Holds temperature well.
Water filter easy to replace

It is less than 3 years old, garbage

I thought we were paying for a high quality product, and both our Bosch dishwasher and Bosch refrigerator have needed major repair.

Control panel quit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a beautiful stainless side by side. It had been used for about three years when the front control panel quit. Replacing this panel didn't help and there were three other control panels we could have tried replacing. I just gave the refrigerator away to a commercial establishment that doesn't want the ice maker and water features. Wow.
