It drains water into the sink, it doesn’t take up much space but you can put lots of clean dishes on it. Fits under our sink when not in use.

I purchased this in May 2020 (from Food52) and am still loving it!
A few improvements that would make it five stars:
- The hooks fall off easily. It would be great if the part that clipped onto the frame were a bit longer to give it a little more stability.
- The angle of the bottom tray slots could be a little steeper to encourage water to flow out more easily.
- The material of the bottom tray could be higher quality to encourage water to flow out more easily and prevent staining.
- I would like the option for a slightly larger utensil holder.
- The non-slip pads on the bottom of my rack came off, but I just glued them back on.

my perfect dish drying rack

i’ve had this dish rack for just over a year it’s one of the best, practice things i’ve bought for my living space (the other being a magnetic paper towel holder also from yamazaki). if you have little counter-space or that awkward space between the sink and the wall (like me and countless photos in the reviews) and this fits, but it. the two tiers is amazing, double the drying space. the removable tray is great for cleaning (i have the white one so possibly more cleaning needed than the black). the rotating spout pops off making cleaning easier. the storage hooks are also stellar. didn’t think i’d love them so much - BUT - i used them so much, i’ve broken two in a year. suppose my only complaint would be more hooks / stronger hooks.

... mine didn't come with the storage hooks. I've emailed Yamazaki about it and they have not responded. I like the dish strainer but I wish I had the hooks.

I can't get over how sturdy this rack is. The top rack area is deep and I can safely dry my favorite vintage glassware without worrying it's going to fall over. That said, it's pretty narrow, so it economizes counter space (and you can move the plastic part down to make two levels!).
Best of all, it's not hideous.

Game Changer for Small Spaces

This dish rack is the best! The kitchen in my apartment is incredibly small and counter space in limited. Pre-pandemic, my roommate and I dried everything that couldn't go in the dishwasher by hand. I splurged on this dish rack in May of 2020 and I think all the time how grateful I am that I did. It fits perfectly on the teeny sliver of counter top we have between the sink and wall. It's chic, sturdy, well-made and has saved us a ton of time. If you are wondering if it's worth it, it absolutely is! I've now gifted one to my parents as well.
