Unable to connect 2 speakers together

I bought 2 of the Onyx Studio 8 speakers. I wanted to connect them to my TV. I can connect 1 but not the other. I read online how to connect the 2 speakers together but it’s only worked 1 time. Unable to find any real documentation from Harmon Kardon on how to connect multiple speakers, however they do advertise the functionality. Very disappointing! Sound from 1 speaker is amazing, I only wish I could reliably connect 2 speakers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for your feedback. The wireless connect feature of our HK Onyx Studio speakers is designed primarily for use with mobile devices and tablets. While you can attempt to connect it to your TV, please note that you may experience delays or lip-sync issues due to the inherent latency that a Bluetooth connection encounters.

To connect two Onyx Studio 8 speakers, power them on, connect one speaker to your TV, and then press and hold the Bluetooth buttons on both speakers for 5 seconds. You will hear a notification sound when they are connected. If the connection does not work, try pairing them with your phone or tablet to replicate the issue. If you encounter problems with your phone or tablet as well, please contact us directly for further assistance at this link: https://support.jbl.com/us/en/#contact.

This is my second Onyx Studio. The last one I purchased nearly ten years ago and still sounds as great as the day I bought it. Thank you for making a high quality product at an affordable price!

Great sound hear me out before

I purchased to use with Roku TV , phone and sometimes outdoors. The lack of Roku TV to pair is not HK issue but definitely left me disappointed that HK don’t have Roku TV pairing with HK onyx studio9 with NO mic( pro or con)
I must admit the product is well built and clear sound notes will have an impact on you, with Pairing and ease of use with App is seamless.
I tried to cast on Roku thru Iph and send sound thru my phone thru HK( with Bluetooth)that didnt work either, unfortunately sound came only thru TV speakers and not HK. To conserve battery it keeps going to sleep, and needs a walk to speaker to wake up and to play your fav channel or genre.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thanks for your feedback. Bluetooth will perform well for up to 30 feet. However, walls, obstacles, and other wireless devices can impede that 30-foot range. If it works well at 10 feet or less, it is likely that there is something interfering with your wireless Bluetooth signal, causing these dropouts. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help isolate the issue with your Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8. Sometimes a Bluetooth connection can become corrupt, try to unpair and re-pair your Bluetooth connection. Next is reset, press and hold the Volume + and Bluetooth buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds, until the speaker powers off. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. If the issue remains, please contact us here: https://support.jbl.com/us/en/#contact
