The T10 appears in the app, installs via the wireless network, but never shows as an installed device. 51 year career engineer says the app needs some attention!

Not Good

I have two installed in my house and are not working with ceiling fans . After five to ten minutes I get false readings on the thermostats, usually by two degrees , Causing my other rooms to overheat by two too three degrees . Actually it turned the heater on when in auto mode , lol . repair tech came and reset both units, said just keep the fans off. Or to add A additional temp sensor in another room. sounds great but what if I have fans on in both rooms ? he had no answer. Ordered replacement units to see what happens, after he left the units are now over cooling by two degrees before they stop at the set cooling points. with no fans on. Tired of fighting with these units...

Hi John, we are sorry to hear about this. The thermostat will only control your HVAC system and the fans may change the temperature readings and cause your system to run to reach the desired set temperature. We recommend you working with your HVAC contractor to find the best way to keep a comfortable temperature.

Confusing Thermostat!

My thermostat was installed just about two weeks ago as a part of the heat pump system installation. It surprisingly holds the room temperature at set point of 73 Deg. As it should! But it fails when cooling down to 70 Deg. It will take more than two hours to get to 71 Deg. in cooling mode and get stuck there while the actual room temperature monitored by independent digital thermometer will be dropping down below 67 Deg. and never stop cooling The thermostat still indicates the room temperature as 71 Deg, and keeps the heat pump on continuous cooling. I asked the installer to check it out and he agreed that it must be faulty thermostat. He replaced it but didn't wait the many hours to see if it will cool the room to 70 Deg. Apparently the thermostats thermometer is not reading the room temperature directly or correctly. Applying ice cubes right below the thermostat close to the sensor for 10 minutes didn't change the room temperature reading at all. Not even 1 Deg. wile lowering the set point from 73 to 72 changed the room temperature reading in 2 minutes!! There is no way the room temperature would change that quick in heat only mode. Do I need to get it replaced again with a prayer?

Could be better

I had a Rth9585wf before but it wasn't allowed to control my furnace on efficient mode with my -30°c heatpump as the only available setting is comfort mode, which is using the furnace too often, and costed me too much, making my heatpump useless. It was a nice thermostat, with all infos displayed on the screen saver (weather, humidity,...) So I had to change to this more expensive but fully programmable thermostat to get my heatpump investment usefull. I absolutely see the difference on my day-to-day consumption, but a regret the way display shows limited information. For that price, it should be more user friendly. A firmware update is absolutely necessary to make this thermostat move from 2012 to 2025.

Very Good Thermostat Overall - App is weak.

I have installed about a dozen of these. They are reliable as a thermostat should be. Overall very good.
Reliability and HVAC control is a solid 4-5 stars. Not perfect, but very good.
The apps is only 3 stars, and the integration and support for local access is 0 stars. The support staff are very professional and knowledgeable about connecting the thermostat to your equipment.
The apps and cloud only access-interface is only 1-2 stars. Honeywell prevents your other home or business automation systems from using your data or connecting to your thermostats even locally where you control the environment. There used to be a cloud API at least but that too has been removed. They collect all of YOUR data connecting to YOUR systems, but do not allow you to have any access to it except very limited through the app. Minus stars for that too.

I just had a new furnace and ac installed. A Two-Stage carrier Infiniti that I was told the Google nest would not work with. They installed this t10 and it is awful. I turned on the geofencing feature and it immediately set to the away profile and nothing I do will show that I'm home. I connected it to Google Assistant and when I ask what the temperature is inside the house it just tells me the outside temperature. There is no usage tracking like with the nest. I really hate this thermostat.

Good but not super good

I have installed and use many. Multiple zones with many Redlink sensors. I integrate WIFI and use Resideo App. I use schedule , dehumidify and ventilation functions. The software updates without approval causing problems at times. There is no support to speak of. The Resideo/T10/Redlink remotes do not check temperature and humidity often enough. Requires turning T10 off and restarting to sync. Battery life is good. System does work but it’s not an install and forget it. I have 2 T10s, 2 HVAC heat pumps and 7 Redlink remotes. One T10 controls a 4 ton heat pump with 20KW backup heat. The second T10 controls an upstairs 2.5 ton heat pump without backup heat.

I miss my nest. At least with the nest you know your hvac is running. With this thermostat you have no idea unless you go over to the registers
