Hand-crafted in Seki Japan by artisans skilled in the acient art of sword making. How is that for impressive? I always buy my bread baked by a local baker. The loaves come out with a very crispy crust which is part of the charm. This knife slices right through the crust with ease and does not tear the bread, but slices smoothly. Made of FC61, this blade is sharp, durable, and retains the sharpness for longer. I will have this for years to come.

Traditional Japanese style bread knife

This is a great traditional style Japanese bread knife. Super lightweight, the bread knife has a nice balance to it, and it won’t get heavy in your hand if you are slicing bread, fruit, meat, or veggies. The thin yet sharp and durable blade of the FC61 steel of the Koh does a nice job of slicing and cutting easily and smoothly. The Pakkawood handle is more a traditional style for Japanese cutlery, paying homage to the original Japanese knives, samurai swords.

Does a beautiful job on breads, bagels, rolls, tomatoes, peaches or other fruit. Big or small Lightweight, comfortable. Doesn't squash what you are cutting.

The octagon shaped handle and elongated bolster combine with the serrated blade to glide effortlessly through hard bread crusts making neat clean slices. Also excellent for baked sweet breads, angel food cake, tomatoes and citrus fruit.

Stunning bread knife with a super sharp serration for an easy bite and smooth cut leaving behind very little crumb. Made from FC 61 this knife is extremely chip and corrosion resistant. Feels very light in the hand but is still stable to cut with. The octagon handle has a comfortable shape that feels secure and smooth.

I liked this kind of bread knife, 9.5" Miyabi Koh, it is enjoyable well made, great fit and finish. It is not by surprised that this knife is versatile, great cutting bread, will cut those leafy vegetables and even cuts through meats effortless.
