Okay Machine, Remote Doesn't work

The vibration plate seems like a nice, well made appliance, but I thought the movements would be faster for the specs and price. The remote that came with it doesn't work, so I've requested a new one. It's quiet which is really nice, but I was hoping to love the product, not just like it. Maybe there is something wrong with my plate.
