inconsistent heating areas

The surface, size, warming drawer and grease trap are all great. The surface, however, is very inconsistent as to temperature. Variance on mine was up to 40 degrees at 375* setting. In addition, set at 375 for pancakes, temperature was almost 500* at certain areas of surface. I have 2 very reliable infra red thermometers and they both agreed with readings. Too bad since I really like the unit. I will be returning to Costco on Tuesday

Great even heating. Feels good to know it's not Teflon. It is disappointing you can't use max heat without damaging it. Drawers are made by what feels like a cheap lasting.

I have been wanting to upgrade my griddle. I found one at Costco, then realized there was a foldable one that is also very convenient. However, the features are still the same. I love this griddle and will cook food on it more often.
