Really like this mini griddle, perfect for my wife and me, but could use some improvement

I've used this griddle a handful of times now, and it's quite easy to use. You just plug in the griddle, which instantly start heating up, and once it's heated, you can pour your batter, eggs, etc.. and close the lid, and within a few minutes, your food is cooked since the griddle is very hot. I honestly do enjoy using it over the traditional way of taking out a pan which would take longer to heat up. Also, the griddle's small size allows you to make the perfect size eggs/omelets, pancakes, etc.. in my opinion, which would be harder with a traditional pan. The only con I would say is the cleaning. Since you can't just clean it in the sink like a normal pan, you have to clean it with a soapy cloth, then use a wet cloth clean out the soap, which I feel takes longer to clean especially since I try to thoroughly clean out the soap since you don't want that mixing with your food the next time you cook. Also, I've had oils and small amounts of batter ooze out of the edge of the griddle or beneath it, leaving a small pool of liquid, which just makes the clean up less than ideal. Otherwise, I'm happy with the product.
