Horrible new formula

If you've used this in the past, don't bother with it now. I've purchased the 36 yard rolls for years and it was wonderful for crafting. But not any longer. Too thin and gummy. It's nothing like it was before. Sticks to my teflon coated scissors and to each other while cutting, so I have to toss them. Takes way longer to cut pieces for my stamped images. I'll have to look around for something better than this current product. Yuck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Right thickness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a package of this Scotch Indoor Mounting Tape on hand after receiving it as a free sample and it came in for me in a pinch the other day while crafting because it was just the right thickness and density for the project I was doing. The adhesive seems really good and the tape was also more moldable than some mounting tapes I have used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New version is now too hard to use

I've purchased this product several times before and loved it. The new version is much softer than it used to be and now sticks to my scissors, tears, and distorts it's shape so much that it is way too hard to use. Please go back to making this the way you used to.

MISLEADING PRODUCT - DAMAGES WALLS

This product is labeled as "IDEAL FOR PAINT" and goes onto to state "Designed for Painted Drywall" yet it DOES NOT come off without damaging the wall which IS NOT anywhere on the box. I called customer service to ask for removal guidance and was told "we don't advertise this as damage free." It absolutely IMPLIES that the product is damage free. I was also told the product is labeled as "permanent," however NO WHERE on the packaging does it state this. It's so misleading and the product marketers are aware if by only reading the reviews on this page!
Furthermore, on this review it is required that I rate the product 0-10 for whether or not I would recommend this product with "0-Never" as an option. Yet, when I select that option, it will not accept it and forces me to at least choose 1. So the design engineers, the marketing dept, and the developers all stink at this company, or maybe it's simply the direction provided by the executives as this seems to be the MO.

Holds Well, Ruins Paint

I used this product on several walls in my apartment to hold up photos and posters because it said "great for paint" and it held them strongly for over a year! Unfortunately, when I needed to remove them to move out there is no way to take them off without ripping the paint off. I would NOT recommend for renters.

Don't waste your money!!!

WE bought this because it's supposed to hold up to 10 pounds. We used it for floating shelves for my mom's salt and pepper shaker collection. They are small and empty and the shelves are light weight. There is no way they come to 10 lbs. On some of the shelves we used 2 strips and none of the strips were short. We used a strip long enough for the entire shelf each time and pressed them in to make sure they stuck-at least they were supposed to. THEY CAME CRASHING DOWN!! Some of these were gifts and not replaceable. We will never use this again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Misleading product!!

This product description is very misleading and false . To make my complaint short as I have already written your corporate office . It claims to hold up to 10 lbs , I Purchased it hold Christmas garland that could not have weighed more than 5 lbs . My garland kept falling and I had to keep hanging it back up . I finally got sick and tired of rehanging it I gave up . And yes I used plenty of multiple strips to distribute the weight for the tape .
Now it has left the tape residue permanently to my brand new homes walls!! The tape does not complete come off!!
I specifically purchased this product because it says does not remove paint. I was mislead thinking it would be easy removal. That is not the case !!
I hope they will offer some type of resolution to the damages . I am never one to complain , so for me to write this I really feel this company has mislead the consumer with their product and have given false guarantee to the product’s performance.

DO NOT USE INDOORS

I bought this tape just a few weeks ago to mount lightweight items on my walls and ceilings and it has completely torn off the paint wherever I applied the product. I cannot believe that this tape is advertised for indoor use and says that it can be used on paint. I hope to receive a refund for the "indoor" tape.
