It is disappointing. The waffles either burn or steam, rather than turning out crispy as they should. Wanted to try it a second time before passing judgment, but I would give it the same rating, and certainly would never recommend.

I couldn't believe that such an inexpensive waffle maker could have so many great reviews but here I am giving this 5 stars. The waffles are the perfect size, cook up right away, and virtually no cleanup. Pancakes are messy, creating more dishes to wash, not this waffle maker. And the waffles are evenly browned and crisp (you can adjust how crispy or soft you want them). I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase. And I love the size, the waffles are medium sized and the waffle iron doesn't take up a lot of space in your cupboard. Great waffle iron, fantastic value.
