I was reluctant to buy a waffle iron without removable plates because I thought clean up might be a problem. I was so wrong. This little marvel stays clean and requires very little maintenance. Even when I overloaded the batter and it spilled over the edge, it cleaned with just a wipe. I like my waffles on the lighter side so it is just perfect for me. My spouse prefers them dark and crisp. On the highest setting, they get dark enough but stay too soft for him. I'd recommend this for ease of use and ease of cleanup. It is nice & compact so also very easy to store.

Makes excellent waffles. Waffles are thinner than my old waffle maker produced. You have the option to make them darker and crispier, which we love! Leftovers are tasty when toasted in the toaster and easily as good as when hot off the waffle maker. Do not hesitate to buy this waffle maker!!
