I received this for my birthday and it is a great little waffle maker. The color selection indicator actually did change the bake of the waffles. Just be forewarned, the #5 setting does make them dark. Cooks quickly and evenly, a very nice waffle maker.

It easily makes a wonderful waffle . Be careful after it heats up not to let it get too hot. It might get your waffle too crispy brown . Turn it down to 2 or even 1
