Even with the control set all the way to the right, waffles are underdone when the green light comes on; I wait for it to go through a second red to green cycle to get crisp waffles. The front of the waffles is always pale and less cooked than the back.

Really like this one except wish it hsd a higher setting. Even on 5 we have to leave it another minute to get crisp. All other settings produce soft waffles.
