Still playing with the amount of batter to put on the waffle iron to get full coverage and uniform thickness. The instructions don’t recommend enough batter. We’ve only used it twice but like being able to make waffles at home. As with any new product practice makes perfect. I’m sure that once we figure out the batter it will be great

I had wanted to replace my old waffle maker for a while, as it made the Belgian style waffles, while I prefer the thinner classic style waffles. Plus the old one had a Teflon type non-stick coating, which I want to avoid due to toxicity issues. This product had a ceramic type coating which is of less concern. This product makes perfect crispy-on-the-outside waffles. I just set the thermostat all the way up to “5”, and let the batter go through one cycle. When the green light comes on again it’s pretty much done the way I like it - every time. One thing I noticed is that the thermostat lever feels loose, like it has a bit of play it it.
