We replaced an old waffle iron with this one and I wasn't sure about it because the hinge is loose, but I guess it's supposed to be loose to allow give for the rising waffle. The waffles came out great. Just don't over load it or it's a mess. But it makes perfect waffles. I'm happy with the purchase. For the price, it's a good quality. No frills and doesn't take up a lot of space.

Heats up quickly and even at the highest setting takes maybe 5 minutes to have perfectly cooked waffles. It is also easy to clean. With the smaller design it is easy to store as well

This is my second identical waffle maker. I have one that makes Belgian waffles, but they are never CT I spy. I have one that makes small waffles but they are just not at good as the waffles from my Cuisinart machine. A friend commented how much her family would like these so I cleaned mine and gave it to her. Then treated myself to a new one.
