I used my birthday present waffle iron for the first time and was pleased with the uniformity of the cooked waffle and really impressed with how easy it was to clean! My only suggestion would be to include a waffle recipe or two to get started with the paperwork that comes with the waffle iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works fast. Never needed to clean up much after, but do have to brush oil before. You have to underfill to make sure it does not flow out. That would cause a mess to make it hard to clean. One flaw is the lid wiggles left and right. It should be sturdier and only open/close.

1. Plates do not come off for deep cleaning
2. If you overfill, even a little, it will spill over and almost impossible to clean.
3. There is no on off switch, just a cord to start or turn off.
It does make waffles, but I liked my old waffle maker with removable plates and optional panini plates

For the price and size, waffle maker does its job. I have limited storage space so this fit the bill. Heats up quickly and lets you know (with a green light) when your waffle is done based on the level or darkness you select from 1-5.

The only good thing about this waffle maker is that it heats up fast. It will burn the waffle on the heat setting of 3 or 4 so you have to pay attention. Also, not impressed with quite a lot of batter pouring out (and I didn’t use much more than recommended amount) after putting the lid down. The waffle doesn’t cook evenly either. The back part of the waffle is thinner than the front. Bypass this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing even at the price point.

Produces waffles that are raw on the edges which quickly changes to a burned ring.
The very center was pretty good.
Intended for counter-top use, it gets hot enough on the outside to quickly inflict 3rd degree burns when inadvertently brushed.
You'd be better off making pancakes.
