If you are planning on feeding waffles to the Jr. Chipmunk Troop, this is not for you. If you want outstanding waffles for 1 or 2, this is perfect. Cooking time is short enough so that the 2nd waffle is done before the first one gets cold. Repeatability of desired doneness is excellent once you find your setting of preference, and that brings me to the only negative I have on this. The slide for setting the cook time is rather "sloppy" in that you must play with it a bit to find out just where you are actually set. This should be a very inexpensive fix for Cuisinart that would improve customer satisfaction.

This was a Christmas gift and I really like it because I like the thinner crispier waffles rather than the thicker Belgian style waffles. The issue is that the adjuster for waffle doneness is too far light and not enough to the dark well done side. I have the adjuster all the way to the most done and I still have to let the waffles cook even though the light says it's done.

When our 1971 waffle iron finally took its last breath, my husband and I went to Bed Bath & Beyond looking for an "all in one" pannini maker/waffle iron which was a little cumbersome and then we found this little gem. Not only is it lightweight, it stores on end (I haven't figured out how to store the cord though), but it heats up in just a few seconds, indicates when it's preheated, when the waffle is done baking and takes exactly 1/2 cup batter to make an absolutely perfect waffle. The thickness is between a Belgian and an Eggo waffle. Since one is plenty for one person, I individually wrap the left overs in wax paper, place them in a zip baggie and freeze. Take out as many as needed, unwrap and place in toaster oven. As good as freshly made. I absolutely recommend this waffle iron. It is made by Cuisinart, a trusted name for small appliances (of which I have many) and I think I will have this one for many years to come.

I loved my old Classic Waffle Maker. It continued to work, but the plastic broke. After researching the current lot of waffle makers, I decided to buy the Classic Cuisinart once again. It's just the right size and shape. I like the compactness and the ability to store standing up. I don't care for the deep pockets created by belgian waffle makers. (And I think that those that flip are just a marketing gimmick.)

I wanted waffles the old fashion way, home made. I followed two recipes and opted for the quicker method as the taste was the same. The Cuisinart - Round waffle iron heats quickly and the adjustable heat setting lets me make waffles just the way I like them. Crisp and brown on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. Easy clean up as well!

We are very happy with our new waffle maker! It's small, very easy to use (you simply plug it in!) and I like the five settings. I prefer my waffles a little crispy, like toast and even on the fifth setting, you need to let it stay in a few moments after the light turns the light turns green to get it the way I prefer.

I don’t like Belgian waffles so when my old waffle iron gave out I looked for another classic waffle maker. They are very hard to find. Finally found this one. It works great. Nice crispy waffles the first time I used it. Waffles cook fast enough that even though it’s small I can still make enough for 12 people, my kids and grandkids, in no time at all.
