First time I did a recipe from NYT and it didn't get golden. Second time I used the recipe from the enclosed booklet and did the first couple of waffles at the suggested 3 setting. Very pale. Upped it to 4. A little less pale. Upped the last ones to 5 and they just started to get a little color to them. Not sure what is going on. I mean they taste cooked but they are sooooo pale. I'm very disappointed. Shouldn't be this hard. It's a waffle, people.

This is a sweet little round waffle maker. It has different lite or dark doneness and the light comes on to tell you its ready to pour and again when its ready to come out.
Really enjoy making waffles and will be experimenting as well!

This is a great little waffle maker. A light lets you know it's ready for batter and then that your waffle is ready. I like that you can adjust the darkness. I just wish it was a little more durable.
