I made waffles with my grandkids. Although they enjoyed the experience, they had to stand away from the waffle maker because it was smoking quite a bit. The waffles came out well; I used buttermilk and whole milk. The six-year old wanted apple waffles so we added apples and cinnamon to the batter. Why is the waffle maker still smoking after about a dozen waffles made in three weeks?

This is what I wanted to replace my Sunbeam waffle maker that I had for 25-30 years. Simple one round waffle at a time. No flipping or spinning and small enough for storing. It has a little heft to it which assists the top cooking as evenly as the bottom. Did a double batch of waffles and no sticking. Also love the green light indicator when cooked. Omitted the fifth star because the lever for browning/doneness has a little slack when adjusting so you’re really not sure if your on number 3 or closer to 4, etc. With that said once you’ve found your number/spot, the consistency remains same from the first to the last. Very pleased with product.

I love my new Cuisinart waffle maker. It is so much more compact and lightweight compared to my old waffle maker. It heats quickly and cooks evenly. The adjustable browning feature is great since it suits everyone's preference. It has a convenient "storing" feature that allows it to be stored vertically, taking up much less cabinet space. Great all around waffle maker1
