I love this waffle iron! It cooks them perfectly light or dark. My only problem is that they only work for a few years and then one of the heat coils stops working. My last one went 3 years and a month. Just past the warranty date! Also the nonstick properties only last about a year and then you have to start using a spray so they don't stick.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's almost perfect. My previous waffle maker would beep when hot, and then beep when the waffle was done. The Cuisinart waffle maker does all the good stuff except beep, and it's easier to clean and it stores upright.

I really wanted to like this traditional waffle maker. I have quite a few Cuisinart small appliances and they have always served me well. I didn’t want a Belgian waffle maker, I wanted a traditional one. I’ve tried everything from waffle mixes to homemade malted waffle recipes in this waffle maker and each one has been a disappointment. There is a browning selector gauge that has so much play in it that you’re not sure if it’s on #2 or #5. That and the waffles come out soft and limp, regardless of the recipe used. It feels flimsy compared to other Cuisinart small appliances. I returned it and spent quite a bit more on another well-known name brand waffle maker (AC). It was worth the extra money because it makes excellent waffles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
