The top lid has a wiggle to it and so does the temperature setting.
This does not effect the quality of the waffle. If your looking for a tight fit this will bother you. Other than that the waffle maker works great.

Requires a coconut oil (or other) layer before each use (not each waffle). Spills out on the sides and makes a frustrating mess that gets caught in the cracks, even when the recommended batter amount is placed into the wafflemaker.
If it weren't for these issues, I'd rate it a 5, because it would be great, and it's small and compact and easy to use.

The top is too loose & therefore does not cook the edges of the waffle. Leaving it on longer makes the inner part over cooked. Followed the directions & recipe to the letter, but still not what I would expect from Cuisinart.
