Great Stick Vacuum

Very impressive little vacuum which has excellent suction and overall functionality. It is an appropriate weight and is excellent especially for vacuuming my stairs which are carpeted. I own 2 other Dyson vacuums which are an upright and a canister. I guess this tells you that I am certainly a Dyson customer because each and everyone of there vacuums is made of the highest quality and workmanship.
Definitely no regrets on this purchase and I would definitely recommend the V-8 Stick Vacuum to anyone looking for an excellent vacuum.

I don't get the hype

I bought this vacuum 15 months ago and have put it to the test. To put it mildly: I am dissatisfied and unimpressed by its performance. I believe anyone who raves about it must have either only carpet so they don't fully see how little it manages to pick up or have never owned a proper vacuum. It is easy to empty the canister.
The good: It does pick up dust and lint, if you like lots of noise when you vacuum it provides that too. It also does a half decent job on carpet when used on the max setting. It is fairly convenient to store and the attachments are easily stored on the wall hanger.
The bad: it has a very difficult time picking up sand, crumbs or anything as big or bigger than rice. Cheerios or anything of that size is impossible to vacuum up. It rather pushes it around and when you lift up the vacuum off the floor it tends to come back out from the nozzle, even sand. The plastic is very fragile and is cracked in a few places. In order to be able to pick up anything you have to use the MAX setting which leaves you with a battery life of 15 minutes tops. Which means you won't be able to vacuum a big area at all. Charging it from empty to full takes well over an hour which far surpasses the use time.
If you want a vacuum that does what most would consider a vacuum cleaners job is. Look elsewhere. I thought and hoped that at this price point I'd get something half decent, but I was sadly mistaken. To be blunt, it's a piece of junk. And an expensive one at that. Stay away!

Cheaper than 2018 price

We bought a new Dyson V8 as we’re giving our 2018 model to a family member. Unbelievably BestBuy’s price was $50 cheaper than when we bought the last one in 2018. Not many things can be bought today for less money than 6 yrs ago. Brand new and works incredibly well. Amazing!

Wonderful not having to trip over cord and easy to move from room to room. I have a friend that has the v15 and another relative that has the V7 both love therir vacuums

This is a huge issue and having to pay for parts in a year for a 600$ vacuum is absolutely asinine! Dyson should warranty their parts for life if it was quality at all. They would not have fear about doing so. This is not a me thing multiple people including neighbours and women’s groups and vacuum repair people are all discussing this. Pathetic
