Excellent model with great features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra feels like the moment Samsung finally decided to stop chasing extremes and instead refine what already worked. It’s still unmistakably an Ultra device — big, premium, powerful — but this year’s model leans into comfort and polish more than brute force. The new rounded titanium frame makes it noticeably easier to hold, and the massive 6.9‑inch AMOLED display remains one of the best you can look at on any phone, with brightness and clarity that make everything from outdoor use to HDR video feel effortless.
Performance is exactly what you’d expect from a flagship running the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy: fast, cool, and consistent. Apps open instantly, games run smoothly, and Samsung’s extended software support means this phone is built for the long haul. The AI features are a mixed bag — some, like live translation and on‑device summaries, feel genuinely useful, while others come across as novelties you’ll try once and forget. Still, the fact that most of it runs locally gives the phone a sense of speed and privacy that cloud‑dependent AI can’t match.

Downgrading from Note 9

"Upgraded" from a Note 9 and doesn't really feel like much of an upgrade.
Pros:
1. Samsung gave me a HUGE discount on it, but that's only a pro for us who got said discount.
2. Battery life is okay. Not great, but okay.
3. It's really sad, but I can't name any more pros, even comparing it to my ancient Note 9 (which has almost the same specs [from 2018] and numerous features that have gone missing in newer models).
4. Oh, it is more durable than the "literally made of glass" Note 9.

Cons:
1. Fingerprint reader is iffy at best! Unless my fingers are pristine and recently moisturized, getting them to read is frustrating to say the least. I can't count how many times I've re-scanned them to try to get them to work more often.
2. Five cameras, but it can never decide which one to use so photos are blurry half of the time. Seriously, it will randomly switch between them before you hit the shutter and the outcome is a roll of the dice.
3. S-Pen is no longer Bluetooth, so no more remote actions with it - bad Samsung, bad!
