[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried the Samsung 27" Odyssey OLED G5 Gaming Monitor G50SF. We have only used a standard computer monitor so when we had the chance to try out this 27" monitor, we were so excited. Super easy and quick to setup. The size is wonderful for us to play our games. The display look sharp and vibrant. Fast-paced games feel smooth and refresh rate is great. Motion blur is a minimum and the monitor handles both bright and dark screens beautifully. The Samsung 27" Odyssey OLED G5 Gaming Monitor G50SF is great for gamers!

High-End Budget Friendly 180Hz OLED Gaming Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most people will never benefit from a flagship 500 Hz refresh rate monitor like the Samsung G60SF, because unless your device can even display 500 frames per second (fps) on your games, which most can’t, you’re going to be refreshing more than you need to. Enter the Samsung G50SF, the 180 Hz mainstream version of Samsung’s QD-OLED monitor line. Despite a 180 Hz refresh, this will refresh 3 times more than most people even need as most games are developed targeting 60 fps. Having the same panel quality of Samsung’s QD-OLED monitor series, the G50SF offers perfect blacks and an infinite contrast ratio which means there’s no backlight bleeding with washed-out backgrounds and muted colors. It does have an anti-glare matte finish that some complain has a purple hue. In my experience, however, this is actually accentuated by computational photography from people taking video and pictures of it, myself included, but is not as noticeable in real life.
The monitor lacks many of the premium features seen in Samsung’s higher-end lines, including replacing the metal bezel and stand with plastic. Fortunately, this monitor’s plastic casing is black, and one of my complaints about the higher-end models is that the metal casings are silver, which makes those monitors feel “boxed-in.” Not so in this case, as the monitor edges blend into darkness without a discernible edge, hiding and somewhat obscuring the monitor's screen borders which I actually consider a feature than a cost-cutting measure. The stand, despite being plastic, is sturdy. Connectivity is limited to 1 DisplayPort (1.2), 1 HDMI port (HDCP 2.2), 1 USB just for updates, a headphone jack, and a power connector. There’s no USB-C, USB passthrough, or charging connectivity with this model. Nevertheless, where it counts, it supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, offers a nice 2560 x 1440 (1440p) maximum resolution, and carries a 3-year Samsung warranty which covers OLED burn-in.
Overall, the G50SF may be the sweet spot for most gamers to upgrade to a very capable QD-OLED gaming monitor with essential features without breaking the bank.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G5 the best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Odyssey G5 OLED has been an outstanding upgrade. I mainly use it for Battlefield 6, and it looks absolutely amazing. The OLED panel delivers deep blacks, incredible contrast, and very vibrant colors, making every map, explosion, and night scene feel extremely immersive and realistic.
The high refresh rate and fast response time make gameplay feel incredibly smooth, even during intense action, with no noticeable ghosting or input lag. Everything feels responsive and sharp, which is perfect for competitive gaming as well as long sessions.
Overall, the image quality and performance exceeded my expectations. This monitor is a fantastic choice for gaming and definitely worth it.

A Solid and Budget-Friendly OLED!

The monitor has solid specs like a 180 hz refresh rate, HDR, and a beautiful OLED screen that shines in its form factor. Additional integrated features like support for G-Sync, AMD FreeSync and a plethora of safeguards for the OLED panel makes it feature rich without breaking the bank. makes it even better mes where every frame matters.
This was my first time experiencing an OLED panel and it truly is a game-changing experience. This monitor has perfect, inky blacks that contrast perfectly with its color accuracy and vibrancy. The HDR experience has been very smooth so far by integrating perfectly with features like RTX HDR and enhancing further what was a great picture.
There is room for improvement as the monitor does not have an adjustable stand and only supports vertical angling at the base. A future revision could perhaps add certain quality of life features while still maintaining the great value of everything else it brings to the table. I would highly recommend this monitor for anyone wanting to dip their toes into the OLED world at an affordable price point.

Great Quality Monitor

Games feel more immersive thanks to the deep contrast and smooth motion. Even simple tasks like browsing or editing photos look noticeably clearer on this screen.
What really convinced me that this was a solid choice was my gamer son’s reaction. As soon as he tried it, he pointed out the fast response time and how smooth the gameplay felt. The higher resolution makes everything so much clearer and because of that my eyes strain reduced. When I play games for extend periods of time this monitor is a go to, with a 180hz refresh rate everything feels smooth when gaming. The cherry on top is the colors with the screen being OLED the colors are so vibrant, and even with streaming movies you care appreciate the truest quality movies have to offer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, I will say the Samsung’s 27" Odyssey OLED G5 QHD Gaming Monitor is definitely a game changer. The no-holds bar visuals are by far the best I have seen on the market. This monitor is a must for your gaming experiences; contrast is insane, the colors are rich with perfection from zone to zone as you move about on any gaming adventure.
My grandbaby who’s 9 years old was helping me with setup and she said it was easy peasy lol. Once the sturdy stand was attached, by the way only tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws on the side and a little tightening of the base screw the monitor and base was all set. The monitor is lightweight and comes with a nice anti-glare surface for easy moving if you would like to place it in a different area. I love the simple plug in with the included HDMI cable and everything synced instantly without any issues. Once the monitor is turned on its like it truly comes to life, my grandbaby said wow look at the colors of Mario car now lol..simply amazing, there was no lacking or slow movement as the screen changes and the color was absolutely spot on. This monitor delivers and is a must have for any gamer inventory. To sum it all up the Samsung’s 27" Odyssey OLED G5 QHD Gaming Monitor is lightweight, very easy to setup, insane bright colors, amazing contrast, high resolution, with lighting fast action, due to the built-in safeguard features no need to worry about overheating, enjoy and love the source Switch+ which allows switching between connected devices. If you are looking for a streaming, gaming monitor for yourself, or someone look no farther this is the monitor for you and it’s well worth the price.

Clear and defined

The setup was easy and changing the different settings were quick. There was no glare when I was playing. The screen light is not too bright so great for gaming. The monitor never got hot while gaming for long periods of time.
