Ordered two basketballs. One is fine. One has the glue bubbled and is coming apart upon opening the package. No way they didn’t see this before they mailed it out

Great ball!

I'm saddened that Spalding lost the rights to the NBA as the official ball of the NBA but that's business I guess. I always thought Wilson just famous for tennis balls. Nonetheless this ball which came with The Beast is a great basketball. My boys have been balling with it for a couple of weeks now and they love it. Great feel, great size, weight and apparently very durable to this point.

Shipping box was in bad shape

Have not set up yet as this is a Christmas present but I will say the shipping box it came in was completely destroyed and Spaulding does not protect this item very well when shipping. I hope I didn't get a returned item as pieces were everywhere when I opened to look at the hoop and that all pieces are in there to set up properly when I do set this up. I will revise my review when I set up.

Bump on the ball and doesn't bounce correctly due to the bump

I may actually return this if it is not too troublesome. Have to look at their return policy. It had a little bump on the ball so wouldn't bounce where you expect it to bounce off to every single time. When the ball bounces on this little bump, it will bounce to somewhere unexpected. The bump is not big but big enough to cause uneven bouncing. Certainly not the quality i was expecting from spalding.

Plasticky feel, wrinkled panels, poor durability

Probably the first Spalding product I wouldn’t recommend to a friend.
Immediately out of the box, I was not impressed with the look and feel of this ball. There were several wrinkles in the panels, and the feel was really cheap and plasticky.
Within a few hours of use outdoors on concrete, this ball showed months of wear and looked like a ball at the end of its lifespan. On the plus side, the grip became a bit better.
I very strongly feel that Spalding has superior alternatives in the same price range.

Not a good basketball

The ball is not perfectly round and has lumps. The ball is poorly built and constructed. It would be ok for a kids ball but not for serious playing

Great small ball

We run a basketball program for 1st and 2nd graders and these balls are the right fit. Good grip, solid structure, and perfect for our indoor program.
