A good choice

Unit does a great job of clearing fumes from both the cooking surface and oven underneath (oven vents behind the stove's cooking surface). The lights are near the front of the hood and user replaceable, so they provide good illumination on the cooking surface - many competitors have the lights in the back (not very helpful) and are permanently in the hood ( so they couldn't be serviced).
It's a bit loud even on the lower of the 5 fan speeds, but that's probably a trade-off for being good at clearing fumes. ( I would have given it 4.5 stars due to the loudness, but that wasn't an option).
