Best fit we could find

Been looking for a replacement for the broken range hood for 6 months now. This one does not exactly fit correctly under my upper cabinet (the cabinet comes quite a ways out over the front edge of the hood) but I like the light and how well the suction works and am very glad to have a hood again. Would definitely recommend.

I did not like the power cord. Hoods need to be hard wired, not plugged in.It was simple to install, provides powerful suction and is nice to look at.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing. I wanted a top quality, yet affordable hood, and this is it.Installation- 4 stars: the unit is not light, so a second person, or pre-cut support sticks are necessary. Also I used fine-thread bolts with fender washers and nylon lock nuts, rather than the supplied wood screws.Customer Service- 5+ stars: one grease baffle, and one light was damaged in shipping, so I emailed Hauslane and theysent me two more lights and two more baffles quickly, and didn't charge me anything!Performance- 5 stars: This unit has 6 speeds, and works great. The higher the speed the more noise, but it really works.I can fry fish on the stove, and not smell it in the kitchen on speed 6.I'm glad I did the research and found this unit for our new now. Our old home hand a cheap unit, and it didn't work well.

We replaced the overhead microwave with this hood. It is amazing. The light is nice and bright and the suction is very strong. It is a bit noisier than the vent on the microwave, but everything else makes up for it.

Hauslane is great quality

After having chatted with Hauslane's customer support in South San Francisco, I made the decision to purchase their best range hood and now that it's installed I'm thrilled with the product. Heavy-duty stainless steel body and stainless steel baffle filters that can easily be removed for cleaning in the dishwasher. Very pleased with my new range hood. The fan is quieter than the cheap hood that it replaced.

Good hood, flimsy flopper.

Overall seems to be a great range hood. The backdraft damper (flipper, flopper thing as we called it) on the top is very flimsy. When I installed and tested, it was fine but once I sealed everything in, the suction is so powerful it ripped the damper right off and then it fell down and got stuck in a fan. Customer service said that shouldn't happen. Yeah, thanks! But they never offered a solution. I'll have to figure it out later and do without the backdraft protection until I can find the right size and fit.The light has one, and only one, VERY BRIGHT setting. Works for cooking. A bit bright for reflection off the window and TV, but again...not a big issue.Overall, happy with the value for the price.*amended review because the stuff I previously mentioned was user error! Still wish you could hold the fan up or down button and have the settings change, but maybe that's user error as well...

Very good cabinet range hood

I order this to replace a microwave range hood that caused oil problems. I have used this for almost a month and it exceeds expectations. The installation and customer support when ordering the Under Cabinet Range Hood was very easy and straight forward. It does an amazing job at removing the smell and contaminants in the air. Not only does it work well but it looks very nice and is a great addition to my kitchen and is very easy to clean. Overall this has been a great product that has helped me when cooking and cleaning a lot.
