Decent Range Hood

We purchased this outdoor-venting range hood to replace an aging indoor-venting ductless range hood in our home. The stainless steel build quality is very good/sturdy and the noise levels are acceptable. Installation was a bit of a chore since we had to create a vent to the outside of our home, but I'm glad that we did because the Hauslane range hood has dramatically improved the air flow in our kitchen. Having said that, I was expecting a bit more suction from this unit but it works way better than our old ductless range hood. The LED lights are great! The touch panel is a little tricky to use at times, requiring multiple touches in just the right spots to set the clock or turn-on the lights/fans. Overall we are pleased with this Hauslane product.

What a "HOSS"

This is an incredible hood! 5 speeds lets me adjust as needed. Level 5 with 2 fans sucks a lot of air and is louder as one would expect, but for that kind of performance I don't mind. Level 3 is not bad on noise, and even at level 1 it's obviously performing. The 2 LED lights work great and give plenty of light. The 15 minute timer is a nice feature I've never had before. The only thing negative I would say is that I had to hire an installer. At 37 pounds, I couldn't do it by myself having only one good hand. The unit looks and performs great. Arrived with no damage and all the parts were there. I know other reviewers have had some problems, but we are blessed with none. My wife and I are 100% happy with this choice and it compliments the new range just purchased.

This thing sucks.

This range hood is exactly what I wanted. Works great, as another reviewer said this thing sucks!When cooking bacon you barely smell the bacon when standing two feet away (on high).

Good range hood with inconvenient sensor panel

I would give it 5 stars but the sensor panel is really inconvenient. It is not as responsive as the cell phone screens we are all accustomed too. You touch it with the tip of your finger and nothing happens. Then you do it again and again before it reacts. I was even going to give it 2 stars because of that but then I found that it works much better if you try to flatten your finger on it as if you want to give it the biggest fingerprint possible. But it is still inconvenient. Other than that, this is a perfect range hood.

Excellent addition to kitchen

Installation took some time with a few minor cabinet adjustments. Noise level is good, and suction power is great. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, especially at the price point. It had far exceeded my expectations and looks as good if not better than the similarly sized samsung model I was going with originally, all at 1/3 the price.

I have had this hood installed for the last couple of months now and just love it! It is very quiet and with its two fans has an amazing power to suck up cooking smoke/smells.Believe it or not??the PS18 30" hood has an infra-red receiver and I noticed that one of my cabinet light remote was able to control the hood operations too!When I called Hauslane's amazing customer service, they said it is sold separately ??so I bought one and made me love the new hood even more!
