Purchased this unit over 2 years ago and has easily been the best purchase I've made for a kitchen. Very high powered, keeps my kitchen clean, and was easy to install. If you are looking for best externally exhausted type fan, this brand is the way to go. Needed to replace a gasket while I was doing a clean. Called the company and got a hold of someone within minutes. Provided all the info, and got me the replacement piece. Amazing. Hard to find companies still providing that level of service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my second Hauslane unit! I liked the one I have at home so when I find out my parents hood system failed I knew we need to replace it with a hauslane unit. Such a big improvement over their old unit

I have yet to finish my kitchen remodel and put the UC-PS18 to the real test. I have no doubt it will stand to the test!

Works well but too loudly

I like the design of the hood - metal plates easily remove for washing. Lights are angled slightly backwards to evenly light the stovetop. Haven't tried removing a light yet. Oil tray is easy to remove. Disappointed that even at the low speed, the hood is loud, much louder than our old one at low speed, which for an object right next to your ears when cooking makes a difference! It works more powerfully though, so I've been cycling it on and off for shorter periods. And wearing my noise-cancelling headphones while I cook :) Wish it did not have a clock; already have a clock on our stove and microwave, and with frequent power outages we'll be resetting it for sure.

I really love this hood. Works great. Very quiet. Looks great. I wish it had better lighting. Lights up front burners but back is a little darker.

Great looking Range Top

This range top functions and looks great perfectly matching our gas stove. If you are installing yourself, please be warned that it is very difficult to attach in the back screws as the fans are on the way. We finally got it working after buying a drill extender and a long screwdriver.

A Wonderful Kitchen Appliance!

I'm a retired chef of 50 years. It's been my pleasure to have found this exhaust hood. The extra power, being there when needed is crucial to a clean kitchen. This Hauslane is wonderful. The 'screens', not being a mesh and as cleanable as these are, shows the experience going in to it's design. The grease trough is a blessing because otherwise, where is grease supposed to go, if left to accumulate? Being in my mid 70's, I was still able to remove the old and install this new unit without help, in one afternoon.
Overall I love it. The lights are bright and for the CFM's it draws, it's very reasonably quiet. My hearty recommendation!
