My new Hauslane vent hood has upleveled the look and function of my kitchen immensely. I traded up from a recirculating under-microwave system (useless if you’re doing real cooking!) and I am so happy with it! The variety of exhaust fan speeds, the timer, the lighting, ease of cleaning - it’s all tremendous. It exhausts odors so well that I have to really lean in over a pan to get a whiff of my food.
I would recommend this to a friend!

fabulous quality, style a bit blah

this was recommended to me by the contractor doing the ductwork in my house. I went with it because it was a product familiar to him, I had no other specific preferences, and the reviews were excellent. Works beautifully and I have no complaints on that front. Quite minimalist digital design is nice. Also, no extraneous and annoying beeps, which is nice. I will note I am only 5 feet tall so the fact that it juts out as far as it does to cover the whole cooking area doesn't bother me at all but is something to consider if you are of average or taller height. I have the offwhite color and it matches the kitchen just fine. I do wish the style of it were less plain or that it could be ordered with doodads to jazz it up a bit. My house is a victorian, kitchens are by their nature modern spaces but I've tried the best I could to fit the style and fixtures to harmonize with the style and era of the house whereas this hood is decidedly modern and streamlined and almost brutalist so it stands out a bit. But hey it is just as pictured and seems really high quality and works great so far over my GE Cafe 6 burner GAS stove.

I recently bought the PS18-30 range hood. I like it. the installation was harder than i expected. and it is noisier than expecetd.

This hood replaced a bulky microwave that had a practically useless exhaust fan. The hood really moves some air! Now I can pan fry a steak or make a stir fry without getting fumes all through the house and setting off the smoke alarms. The very bright lights are a nice bonus. We didn't remodel, just replaced, so it was good to find the stainless steel plate to fill the space between the hood and the tiles.

We love our new hood! Sleek design annd simple controls. Installation was simple with clear instructions. Husband seared steak the first night and we had no trouble with smoke. Even on high the noise specie is very tolerable. Super satisfied!!

A few things could be better ….
Tends to be a little noisy.
The timer should allow you to time off just the light without having to use the fan.
I would like the timer to be able to be set for up to a half hour ….. instead of just 15 minutes
It should have a memory so when you turn the unit off, and turn it back on, it can remember the last setting.

Perfect Size Under Cabinet Hood

This was the right size hood compared to others either too short or more expensive or lower quality. It's a solid build quality and super nice customer service. Top it off, designed in Northern California, but made in China.
